Somewhere around 2:24 every afternoon, when the pups are gettin’ into that really deep afternoon kind of sleep, I completely lose all ability to concentrate on my work. It’s like a physical sickness. I tell myself I’ll take a break with a little Facebook visit or a YouTube video or two, and 45 minutes later I’m printing out crock-pot recipes and checking airline ticket prices to Phoenix. Somewhere in that black hole of afternoon time suck, I always visit ModCloth.
I’m stoked to see ModCloth’s new collection of leashes and collars, most notably the Right Bark ‘Atcha collar and leash.
The Right Bark ‘Atcha set isn’t yet available, but you can sign up to receive a notification when it’s in stock and available for purchase.
While you’re over at ModCloth, check out their Bow-WOW contest. You can submit a video of your pup performing her best trick for a chance to win a $200 gift certificate! Mingus and Dottie have to learn a trick FAST.

The days are getting longer and warmer, and that means it’s hiking season once again. My favorite go-to company for great outdoor gear for dogs is Ruff Wear, and they’ve recently introduced some new products just in time for hiking season. My favorites of the new collection are the Top Rope collar, which features a fierce buckle and a conveniently located V-ring for easy leash connection, and the Flat Out leash, which is a hand-held, waist-worn, and fixed leash all in one — perfect for a day on the trail.
Check out the new gear and old classics at Ruff Wear.
And don’t forget to take advantage of our special coupon code at Planet MOMO by tomorrow!

Y’all might remember Sydney, Australia’s Ruthless Leather from our feature a few months back. I am seriously covetous over basically everything on their site, but if someone wants to go ahead and get me the O-Disc cuff in red I’d be perfectly happy with that.
Today, April 1st, Ruthless is celebrating their one-year anniversary, and they’re celebrating with an awesome promotion — a complimentary leash with any full-price collar order through noon on Monday, April 4th Sydney time (which is 10:00 p.m. Sunday here on the east coast of the United States). One lucky buyer will also receive a complimentary matching cuff! (And, say, if they wanted to, that lucky buyer would be free to then gift that cuff to me.)
You can read all about the promotion here. Happy Birthday, Ruthless!

Guess where I wish I were right now? NYFW.
Guess where I’m most assuredly not right now? NYFW.
Alas. Well, how about we admire Harry Barker’s Chelsea collar instead?
The Chelsea collar and leash are sleek, simple, modern, and made from recycled plastic.
Fetch them at Harry Barker.

One of my very favorite songs is Bob Dylan’s “Boots of Spanish Leather.” Well, here we’ve got collars and leads of Spanish leather, and they’re awful pretty.
Creature Clothes‘ leather collars and leads (available from Merry Dogs Ltd) are handmade in England from high-quality Spanish bridle leather. You can choose from collars and matching leads studded with bones, hearts, or stars (nickel or brass) – although I quite like the simple but classy plain leather version.
You can fetch Creature Clothes collars and leads from Merry Dogs, which offers affordable shipping to the US.

Do y’all have Home Goods where you live? If you don’t, you’ll wish you did. Or maybe not. It’s kind of dangerous if you suffer from spendyitis like I do. (It’s supposedly a treatable condition, but I haven’t really looked into it.)
Anyway, it was trolling the aisles of Home Goods where I first ran across Urban Hund products — classic, slightly upscale designs without being over the top.
Pictured above are collar/lead sets in “water friendly” webbing and topstitched double leather.
And looky here, what else! Fun, breezy doggie tees that scream “Summertime!” instead of “I’m a crazy dog lady!”
Check out Urban Hund’s site for a list of online and brick-and-mortar retailers.
