Here’s a classic from Will Ferrell.

Oh, how I love Conan O’Brien. Here’s a fun video from a recent show. The special effects are stunning.

This chuckle-inducing video was made by animator Jonathan Holt for his senior thesis for the Ringling College of Art and Design.

My thesis was “Classroom Culture and Psychosocial Environment.” Snore.

Enjoy!

A high-quality version is available for download at vimeo.

I’m a mature, sensible, grown woman.

There’s no reason I should find this funny.

But it is.

Supposedly this commercial was banned from airing during the 2004 Super Bowl (you know, the one with the “wardrobe malfunction”).

I certainly can’t remember if it aired during the game or not… but after the scandalous halftime show, this seems rather tame, no?

Shine Pet Photos posted this on Facebook recently, and then my husband sent it to me a few days later, so I felt compelled to share it here.

I warn you: the cuteness might be too much for you to handle.

Indeed, at some point in the video, you might think, “Aww, why doesn’t that jerk put the camera down and help the poor puppy?” But it’s easy to see why not — the cuteness is completely incapacitating. I’m sure no Frenchies were harmed in the making of this video.

Enjoy.

So you’ve all, I’m sure, heard about a Certain Professional Football Player who’s recently been released from prison and has signed a contract with the Philadelphia Eagles.

There are, naturally, lots of places I’d rather see that Certain Player than Philly… say, back in prison? Or maybe wandering the countryside of Mordor? Cleaning, with a miniature toothbrush, the commodes of the amazing folks who have fostered and adopted his dogs?

On a stick will do.

Remember this little guy? I miss this little guy.

Another classic:

Pets.com, despite its hilarious and popular advertising campaign, went bust less than 2 years after it began operations, one of the notable failures of the dot-com bust, proving that, indeed, what goes up must come down.

Interestingly, the pets.com domain is now owned by PetSmart.

Happy Saturday!

(If you’re in the Triangle, NC area, don’t forget that Untethered premieres tonight at Manbites Dog Theater in Durham!)

Dogster.com introduced a new game recently called Dog-O-Tron.

The premise of the game is simple enough: The Robot Cats are attempting to take over Planet Dog-O-Tron, and you, Rovi-Woof-Kanovi, captain of the trusty dogship Woof-10, must defeat the robocats to save the planet. It’s an all-too-familiar story, really.

The game is fairly lo-tech, has exceedingly annoying music and sound effects, and is, of course, completely addicting.

Not surprising at all (at least to me), I’m pretty horrible at it — but I did manage to beat that menacing Death Star cat up there to make it to the second level, thanks to a floating chicken on a platter that restored all my energy just in time. (Phew.) And people say I never spend my time on anything productive.

Try your hand at Dog-O-Tron here. (You don’t have to be a Dogster member to play.)
